Taking the plunge with Preseli Venture

Taking the plunge with Preseli Venture

1. Preseli Venture, stag and hen activity weekends
Before your big day, why not make a leap of an altogether different kind and spend a weekend coasteering, surfing, kayaking and generally having all sorts of coastal fun with Preseli Venture in Pembrokeshire?

Forget pamper weekends and luxury booze cruises – you’ll have adventures aplenty by day, spend the evenings gazing up at the stars while sat around the bonfire and bed down in the comfy eco lodge. The team are on hand to help with everything from planning the weekend itself to sending out the invitations, so you can just get on with enjoying yourself!

2. Take part in the World Alternative Games
Are you a particularly competitive bunch looking to best the bride or out-stag the stag? Why not take part in the World Alternative Games in the Cambrian Mountains this summer? With most activities taking place in August, you can choose to take part in events as wacky and varied as the Russian Egg Roulette, barrel rolling championships and the gravy wrestling championships! Someone might even go home with a medal…

Screen Shot 2014-06-18 at 11.01.193. Bounce Below, north Wales
Following the launch of the Zip World Titan, the largest zip zone in the world, Bounce Below is a collection of giant trampolines hidden inside a mammoth slate quarry cavern twice the size of St Paul’s Cathedral. The caverns will be lit up in a light show while visitors bounce on giant trampolines linked by a 60ft long slide. Now if that isn’t a stag/hen do break with a difference, we don’t know what is!

4. Golfing and gallivanting in Bridgend
You may not know it but Bridgend has some of the leading gold courses in the UK so you can head down for a relaxed stag party and not have to deal with crowds or stuffy golf clubs. Royal Porthcawl overlooks the beach and is hosting this year’s Senior Open Championship.

And why not combine this with a day of paintballing/quad biking/mountain biking with Adventures Wales. Finally, why not finish it all off by staying in a traditional Mongolian yurt? All less than three hours from London on the train!
